New Pup

I don't live in that area anymore, but let me the first to congratulate you on your new dog. I hope you have good success with it........Bob

I hope my Springer reacts well. We just put down our 14 yr. old Lab and he has been a bit lonely since then. I hope he adjusts to the new pup well and I hope they hunt well together.

I don't think you need a trainer. Take your pup swimming this summer, and find away to get more time off to go pheasant hunting next Oct,Nov,and Dec. I just went thru this process and my regret is that I was to impatient and to harsh. To err is human, to forgive is Labrador.

If St Peter isn't too far away you could use Roger Hess of Tailgunner Kennels. I use him once in a while and have been very satisfied. He has a column in outdoors weekly if you happen to get that.

I would check out Ralph Hayford from down by Montgomery, Minnesota. He works primarily with labs but he did a great job of helping me with my gunshy Vizsla.
