I joined this site to meet and learn from people and I have very much so. It's to bad, But I got off active duty two years ago. And when I came home to Nebraska most of my bird hunting buddies all became bow hunters, of course. So if there is anyone hunting southeast, or central Nebraska this year and wanna hunt with me, and my bird dog let me know?
 
Up: I hear you! Most of my buddies bow hunt and I do a lot of bird hunting alone. Take the occassional friend once in a while. This year I've got a young pup and will be wanting to hunt alone, or with selected individuals who will do as told. We've been working on pen raised quail the past two weeks and are having a blast. The pup is so darned excited and so am I. We're at the stage where he's holding nice points and letting me almost flush the bird before he breaks. I think we're close and maybe in a couple days we'll be at that point where he holds, I flush and kill something for him. I won't ever be in Nebraska, but good luck to you.
 
I hunt south central and south east nebraska.

I just got off active duty about a year ago and am amazed at the amount of deer hunters here. I've done the deer thing here but really enjoy upland and waterfowl. In fact, we were out scouting SE of lincoln the other day and I could have sworn my dog flushed two quail. They were quartering away so I couldn't make out their heads, but their wings had a significant curve to them while the coasted around.

Anyways, if you ever need a hunting buddy, let me know.
