Just got the go ahead on a new spot that’s notorious for no’s. I said upfront I understand this isn’t carte blanche, won’t take other people, and won’t keep pestering. Ole boy said there’s birds in there, you can hunt one day have fun Merry Christmas! Headed out in an hour. Taking Dads Parker made in 1923.

Results! Got a bird apiece one shot kills. 9 hens 4 roosters seen total. They was holed up in a nightmare of phragmites. We call it elephant grass. Bout half of the bunch flew across creek to adjacent field. We crossed at a beaver dam and followed up. Good dog work and we had a great hunt.
