MNSpaniels
New member
I've been a long time lurker here but decided to join in a thread and the next thing you know I'm introducing myself.
I live in Minneapolis and primarily hunt pheasant. Though I did just get back from a MN Sharp-Tail hunt. Shot a limit on Saturday but couldn't get close enough to them on Sunday.
If you see a green Prius parked at a piece of public land, it's most likely me. I regularly drive 300 miles or more round trip in a day to get to where the birds are; and given I hunt 30+ days a year, it pays to sip gas (I have a very supportive wife and I don't say no to much 8 months out of the year
).
I hunt with a English Springer Spaniel (6 yrs) and a Field Bred English Cocker (3 yrs).
I'm a left hand shooter, so that's somewhat limited the guns I've used. Started out with an 870 and most recently been using a Benelli Montefeltro. This year though I'll be hunting with a 1913 Fox 12ga A Grade.
That about covers it. Look forward to the coming pics and stories of this year from members. I'll make sure to share some too.
Good luck out there.
