new member in ks

Hey guys... i have been hunting quail and pheasant in ks for about 18 years.

When I started out hunting I had the privilege of hunting with a great gsp. My dads dog cinnamon. Since she passed away 16 years ago I have tried to hunt with several other dogs and it was never the same.

I took up hunting rabbits and quail and almost gave up on phesant altogether... when my dad passed away about 8 years ago I havent hunted since... when he was around we were avid hunters and fisherman. I couldnt bring myself to go hunting without him...

I think its about time to pass on the legacy to my son and plan on getting a year in the field first... we will see how that goes.

I would bet that your Dad would think you taking your son hunting is a good move keeping a family tradition going.

And now that your are the Dad, you may need a dog to do the hunting thing right. I would recommend a setter :thumbsup:
