I scooted up that way last week for a couple of hours. First thing I saw was a sign saying "Pheasant population low" and DOW requesting a phone call if you do happen to harvest a pheasant.
It does look good, corn, sunflower seeds, tons of cover etc...but there aren't any birds there. Hunters are required to fill out cards if they harvest anything, and it looks like one pheasant has been harvested all season.
I wouldn't waste my time.
