I'm from Chicago and have only hunted pheasant a couple times. I joined an annual tower hunt in Michigan and that lead me to joining the forum. I have questions about best choke and load for that style of hunt.

Welcome. Good group of people here. Towers can be different. The ones at the club I guide at I would recommend #5 with 1 1/4 oz and a full choke. Possibly XF depending on the day.

Where at in Chicago? I lived there for 15 years before moving back out west two years ago. I used to do a fair amount of grouse hunting in N WI and chased some released pheasants at Des Plaines and some wild quail at Jim Edgar.

I live in the city, but I have deer hunted des plaines and dove hunted silver springs State Park. I also did a chase released pheasants down by Joliet at a private operation
 
Welcome. My Dad moved the family from N.Riverside to NW WI in 1963. It was the best thing he could have done for my brother and myself.
It opened a new world for us, living on a creek in the country. Lots of good info from folks here. We don’t always agree, but respect each others opinions. God bless
