New from Colorado

Have been trolling the forum for awhile (wasting time until opening day), figured it was time to register and introduce myself.

I live on the east side of Denver but haven't done any bird hunting in CO yet. Been going to SE Kansas where we have family for a few years now. Brother recently moved to NE CO so we're both working friends and neighbors for land to hunt out there.

I do have a dog, not a bird dog but still a dog. She's an australian sheppard - border collie mix. Exceptionally smart.... she has the energy to flush and the smarts to point (she like to point squirrels in the back yard). Thought I would try and work with her and see what we can do. Any advice would be appreciated.

A-town, out on the eastern edge. We grew up in NE Oklahoma so when we moved out here we choose a place that looked familiar. I Like the mountains but i'm more of a plains guy.
