New drawer set up for truck

This setup is fully removeable in one piece, it does take two guys just because of the size and it's probably about 100lbs without the drawers in it, and 150lbs with them. But because of the size it takes two guys one on each side

Built myself a set of truck drawers. For the most part I followed waterdogs pattern from this thread, but had a few changes here and there from researching and googling other designs over a few months time period. I am not overly handy, so this was a nice project and confidence booster for me. One of the drawers doesn't slide the greatest, and I know if I were to make another one it would be twice as good now. But it works for me!
The base fits wheel well to wheel well, with plywood over top of it that is width of the tailgate, so the whole thing can slide out in one piece. Lots of models had piano hinges to allow it completely cover from side wall to side wall of truck bed. That was my original plan, but as I started building I changed my mind. This way allowed me more overall storage and still gave me access to the factory tie down loops in the truck. Then behind the wheel well, closer to the cab, I fit the plywood over the drawers, so a little narrower than the front sheet. This allows me to store a few things on the side without them sliding around (I like to fill milk jugs with water, they fit in this gap perfectly). Most of it is made with 3/4" plywood. I think it could have been redone with 1/2" on a lot of it to save some weight. Overall cost was about $400. I wrapped each individual board in carpet before screwing it together, which gave it a nice finished look, but it also didn't allow me get everything as square as it should be and it added a bit of time. If I were to do it again I would just lay carpet over the whole thing once it is built. The positive of the drawers pulling tougher than I'd like is I don't have to worry about them sliding out if I were to ever drive with the tailgate down - wasn't sure what I was going to add for a lock to prevent that but no need to now.
