Checking in from South Dakota! I have lived here for a total of 22 years. I used to hunt a long time ago and then took a very long break to get married and have kiddos.

Well my sons are now just about the age that they will be able to hunt. I am looking to get back into hunting as a way to have some father son time when they reach the legal hunting age. I am going to use hunting as a tool to teach responsibility and safety.

Looking forward to discussing things and gathering information as I have been out of the hunt for many years.

There are lots of experts around here, lots of folks from ALL over to give you insights, lots of different dog breed owners to give you their own, unbiased :)D) views, and mostly, lots of decent folks who like read and see pictures of folks sharing their pastime.

Welcome to the forum. Let me know if you need some help in getting back into hunting. As well as your kids. Anything I can do to help get more young people into the sport I'm always willing.
