Folks, I just joined the forum and am trying to do some research to use in planning an annual hunt with family. I have 4 brothers, and we were raised hunting quail in OK...back when there were quail to hunt in OK! We try to have an annual trip hunting or fishing, and this year it's my turn to put it together. We're all talking about pheasant in SD, so I need some help.

This will be an early season hunt, the group will likely be 6-12 experienced hunters. We need lodging, guide and dogs. We're not Ritz Carlton type folks, but we would like something clean and reasonable. Also...any suggestions on the best part of SD to look at...it's a big place!

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Kevin

Try the Snake Den Lodge in Presho SD. You will not be dissapointed. Good rates, great guides and fantastic hospitality!!!!

No problem, I'm glad to help. Cordi and is family are top notch.

We've gone to the Circle H Ranch in Gregory for several years. Its a nice setup. The people are professional and its run first class. Their rates seem lower than most other places.
Don't let the purists argue that these lodges are just a bunch of tame birds. These guys put out large numbers before the season and by the time you get there, you can't tell the wild ones from raised ones. We've never been disappointed.

If the hunting is half as good as what I experienced in Draper (just west of Presho) you surely will not be disappointed.
