Nebraska Opening Weekend Results

Went out on Thursday with the dog in SW NE. Didn't see anything and fought the wind all day. Cover looks about the same as last year and worse in some places. Birds or no birds, I just enjoy watching the dog work!

It'll be tough hunting this year but any day hunting is better than most.
 
hunt in se Nebraska. opening day saw about 4 hens 1 rooster, but 2 nice coveys of quail. sunday nothing.
CRP turned to crops. Fencerows taken out. Roundup drainageways and plant right through the mud. large piles of trees in lots of fields from what used to be odd areas, creek buffers, fencerows......

ugh, get used to it, very little habitat. this will be the state of bird hunting with $7 corn. sucks.
