My other option during the drought...

So my archery Whitetail deer season this year started same time as Pheasant. The first weekend I passed up 3 does and a tiny 2 point buck... I was drawn on the buck at 30 yards... thinking "If I shoot him, I am free to hunt pheasant for 4 days... but do I really want to hunt pheasant WIA for 4 days this year? Or would I rather chase deer?" Well... the drought saved that small buck.

Guess I cannot complain though... a week later this ol boy came by... Little nicer than the tiny 2 point:)

Nice job, I picked up bow hunting this year, went elk hunting and well I did a lot of walking! Think it prepared me for pheasant season lol
 
Hey JH That's a really nice buck. I'm still hunting deer but the weather is making me lazy. You have really kicked butt this year first a nice elk and now a nice buck. Congrats and keep us posted on what is next. Ron
