My Montana Trip

Much of the trip was based on checking the pheasant population for future trips.
Montana is usually very dry, dusty, fire danger type stuff in Sept.
Lakes where no one has seen before.

Trails washed out.

Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing:thumbsup:

Thanks, It was still nice getting back out there. I got a few Sharptails and a couple Huns.
I couldn't get into the back country, it was travel on surfaced roads only. And not many of those. So I didn't get to my honey holes.
WY deer season opens Oct 15 in the region I hunt, I plan on leaving home the afternoon on the 13. 2-3 days of Muley hunting then on the way home a few days of pheasants.

Rooster, Montana has a good number of Blue, Green Wing and Cinnamon Teal.
They do vanish with the first big cold snap. They do quite well nesting and raising broods up there. Stockponds work well for teal.

That's so cute with the dog and the bird in it's mouth. Just curious where in Montana is this? I'm thinking about college and want to know good hunting spots around the world so i can choose my college. thanks man

The pic of RD is in NE Montana and the flooding was in about the center of Montana.
Montana would be a good destination for a young man that enjoys hunting and the outdoors.
