More Training with Echo - Intro to Pheasants

Nice videos! I'd suggest getting her an electric dog collar - it was critical in teaching my dog to "Leave it!" in the field. I forgot it one day and my dog listened up until the last rooster we flushed - he took off after it across a road. Better to have it as a back-up in case a car is coming and your dog takes off.

Nice video Ross and sorry I couldn't go. I was in that same field yesterday (Friday) with a friend and his 1.5 yr old lab Tracker and my 2.5 yr old Brady. Quail Run has some nice cover for training, as does Kiowa Creek-my "home course".

Understood Tom. We will get some training in before the season begins. Jerry has done a great job with the cover at QR. I need to work on stop to flush with Echo. She is not holding her point as well. You have more experience working with pointing labs. I look forward to your insight.

We have a SportDOG Upland Hunter. A great collar that seems to have little impact when her adrenaline is pumping. I will work on "leave it". Thank you for the insight.
