Montana Turkey Hunt

A friend and I headed to eastern Montana for a 4 day turkey. We set up camp the first day by 2pm. We went hunting at 3pm and I called in a bird at about 5pm. My hunting partner killed one the next morning, so we came home early to work on the 'honey dew' list. Good thing as it was windy the next day and snowing today.

Life is good.

Yea' Man... Those are some nice Tom's. Congrats on your hunt..........Bob

Nice Toms! congrats.
Actually:confused: it's "over in Montana". OR "out in Montana"

Great job!!!!!!! I am not sure I would go home early to take care of any honey do list!!!!!!! In fact ,would of called and said I got snowed in or something and enjoyed the country!!!!:D:D:D:cheers:

I agree with your logic, however, she agreed to let me fly down to see a friend in Oklahoma for a turkey and pig hunt next week.:D So I owed her...

BC, I have turkey hunted in the Custer National Forest a few times. Have you tried that?

Yes

I have hunted the Custer in the past. I understand bird numbers are way down the last two years. The spot I went to was half the drive, however, you can only take one tom there, versus two on the Custer. Tradeoffs.
