Minnesota Pheasant Counts 2024

Just curious, generally where's that at? South Central? SW? Don't need your hot spot haha but just curious what general area you're hearing good things about

Look at the rain maps and one can figure out where ... hoping the renesters had a good August. May be quite a few hen looking cacklers come opener.

PF guy on KFAN did not seem overly optimistic about MN in general about a month ago.

Guess we will know in about a week.

Here is whole report in case you're interested. The state is up 1% as an average from 2023. Individual zones vary wildly though.

The southwest zone is down 29%. I assume flooding is the cause of this.

The northern zones, central and east-central are both way up. Central is up 34% and East-Central is up 70% from 2023. Those areas avoided flooding in June.

I seen a momma hen with a nice brood of large young birds on Saturday coming back from fishing. I slowed way down to let them cross the road. It's gonna be a good year in MN.
