Minnesota opener

We limmited out on Saturday with 6 birds and missed a few. Dog worked great. waited to hunt a spot on sunday morning and watched our limit fly into the corn about 8:30 after that we seen a few bird but no roosters in shooting range. good hunt over all though. wil have to get some time to post a pic.

I also got to deal with an overzealous DNR officer who did everything short of a cavity search, so that was fun

I generally skip the opener, and will probably do so in the future. I guess I just needed to remind myself why I wait until November.

I agree with you I like to hunt the birds after deer season. A little snow is even better.
To bad about the DNR there are two ways to do that job and it didn't sound like he was choosing the right way.
