I went 2nd day of season, it was solid and the best it’s been in 6-8 years. By February it will be beat to s**t! Word is out and it was loaded with people. Yes it’s up in numbers but you better hustle
i dont pick up my dog till the second week of december....... i got her training with Darrell, out of pearsall, tx. idk if your familiar. any luck in the black gap or stone mountain?
I’ve never hit any of the public spots around Texas. Would u say those are top 2? I’m trying to start small here in Texas and eventually take my son and pup up to sd and then out west for all those birds too
The only 2 that I’ve ever hit.. public and Texas dont go together.. I’m lucky to live in the panhandle and travel to other states within 2 hours. There’s not enough good public in Texas to support a serious bird hunter, it’s either pay to lease or travel… I travel.
yea we have a family lease down in webb county. 7500 ac... hunted on it my whole life.... has a decent number of birds.... but i wanted to explore and see some different parts of the country
