Malta Area?

Anybody look at this forum? I've got some connections in the Malta area and was considering a hunt. Pheasants, Huns, sharpies, you name it, I'll chase it. Also wonder whether there are any prairie dogs in the area and if October is a possible time to hunt them?

The malta area can be terrific in the good years. Lots of area are available to hunt. With your experience you should have no problem limiting out in three or four days. If it is cold enough to drive the sharps off of the prairie, you should hunt the refuge. Been going there the last ten years around the first week of December and 8 out of 10 were great trips. Malta is worth it.

Malta area!

Yes there are prairie dogs around Malta; huge towns in fact but not a great time of year for shooting. There are also good numbers of sharpies and huns within thirty minutes of town. Check with the pros who congregate at the Riverside Motel, you'll hear about productive areas to hunt.
