Well the reports about the Huns being up this year were right on. My boys and I hunting today, 10-18, and we flushed large coveys of huns from every spot we stopped. Not wanting to be too greedy we took a couple of birds from each of our stops. We only saw 5 pheasants one rooster that had barely colored up. Things are still awfully dry. It looked like hardly any grass grew this summer at all. I hope there will be enough cover to hold the birds over this winter.
