Made it out in the snow

I took the dogs out for one lap around the fields and the walking was tough. What should have taken 15 minutes took 45 minutes. We had 30 inches of snow last week and the fields have held up well. Here are some pictures:

We ended up flushing two birds and saw two more that are in the last picture. I don't know if the two we flushed were hens or roosters. I didn't see the quail but I didn't look real hard either. Hopefully we get a good melt this weekend.

The birds always seem to gravitate to the evergreens in this type of weather. Thanks for the update.

Nice photos Bauer. The switch grass seems to be holding up okay to the snow.

Thanks for posting.

Love the point, I'm not sure if there is a better sight, however the picture of the hen is pretty close. Hope the birds stick around better than our recruits
