Well for sometime I knew the day would coming I would get the call and yesterday was the day.
Kansas lost a classic Rancher/Farmer yesterday at the young age of 88. I have had the pleasure of knowing and hunting this mans land for 25 years. Russell was a one of a kind tough as nails, tell you how it is kinda guy. I cherish the times I had to talk to him.
I last saw him on April 19th while turkey hunting and we chatted about the miles on our HD Chevy's. He said I was a pup still with my 170k to has 280k on his truck. His son runs the operation now and we will continue to hunt, but it wont be the same without the "Ole Man".
