Last minute switch from working Sat to now working Sunday, allowed for me to sneak out this morning and battle the madness of opening day on public props! ! ...now I member why I avoid this weekend!

Wish she stayed this calm! ...took her quite a whle to slow down...but after she got a little tired she was always right under my gun :eek:

Basically it was a frustrating morning...I hit [4] properties, and was cut-off at 3 of the 4!!!!! Twice, the groups jumped several birds from right where we were heading!! WTF? One group of 8 kids, quick as they could, cut-across maybe 100 yds in front of me. ...then proceeded to jump over a dozen birds while downing 5 longtails!...I just wanted to cry:( ...the other group of 5 guys downed 2 roosters in my face as well.

Still...Kiwi managed to kick one up and I laid him to rest with the only pull of the trigger I had all day!:D

Great looking shot! IF you can get out during the week, I'll be trying to find somewhere to go on Tuesday this coming week. ;)
 
Thanks:)...what a perfect morning weather wise though! ...couldn't have asked for better. From the sounds of it, just about everyone else had a wonderous day:cheers:

Sadly, it will be a while before I get back chasing the ditch chickens again:( ...I have deer camp(which is really only Thanksgiving weekend)...followed by elk camp :D ...I just might be able to sneak in a day next weekend, but will def have to work again, so we will see.

So it looks like it is gonna be Christmas Capt. Longtails for me! :cool:
