I'm planning a hunt for the first week of pheasant season in SD. I am an experienced senior hunter and will have my son and nephew with me along with Guinness a chocolate lab. All are experiences hunters. We would like to hunt with a guide for the first three days and then on our own. We would be driving up to SD from Denver, CO.
I would appreciate any advise re where to stay (know lodging hard to find) either with a farm family, motels, etc. or lodges. Also would appreciate any recommendations re guides and any other advise you may have.
