Friends, I bid you a fond farewell as Gus the orphan dog and I head west to the Happy Hunting Grounds for the Kansas opener. I have thought about this moment everyday since February 1st. To all of you hitting the road too, have safe travels, great hunting, warm camaraderie, and a meaningful commune with nature.

Good luck to you brit as i will be headed out friday towards the west central region of kansas to kick up some dirt in the fields...remember extra water lol...so excited to get out that i dont care if i shoot a dang thing as long as the dog and boy have fun
