I've never seen more roosters with their own harem of 8 or so hens. The hen to rooster ratios look good.
My buddy an I both hit pheasants with our vehicles accidentally and mine had no damage but his took out the windshield.
Lot's of goners on the road too which is also an excellent sign in a wierd kind of way.
Right now we have similar conditions as last spring only a little cooler. If the heater gets turned on and it stays dry through June we could see another bumper crop of pheasants. Insect production was going good which is what new chicks diet consists of for about 2 months.
