lite boots

quite a few, don't know if any were supposed to be waterproof. Mostly I think Ive worn the ventilaters. Decently durable comfortable shoe.

Have worn one pair of keens, didn't care for them

Hikers

Danner 452 GTX are the most comfortable, I've tried them all. If there is a downside they have a service life of about one year, but are definitely waterproof in shallow water.

The best I've found are these.

They're insanely light and comfortable. Mine are three years old. Lots of miles on them. Still holding up but the tread is starting to wear a bit thin. I will soon retire them to be my lite winter boots and buy another pair for hiking.

Potential limitations:
They're waterproof (GoreTex), but if you stand in water I think it would eventually seep in a bit.
Not as "tough" as some of the full-grain leather with the big rubber rand around them (but you did say "light" - right! lol!)
If you spend a lot of time on very sharp rocky ground you might feel it a bit more through these soles than some of the big beefy "Vibram" soles (but again -the the lightness issue).

Note - I have wide feet and normally Salomons NEVER fit me. These ones do, for some reason.

Have worn Vasque Hiking Boots for the past 10? years. Light weight and low cut. Along with these boots, I wear a low- cut gaiter - keeps the seeds and some snow out. I'm not hunting in hilly terrain so I don't need much ankle support.

Have been using "Sno-Seal" for the past few years; so far, no leaks.

you bet!
