License question

We'll be heading to SD (Day Co.) over our Christmas break--teachers, so we're stuck with that time.

Do both 5 day time slots have to be in the same calendar year, or can we have 5 days this year and carry over the next 5 next year?
 
same season but new year will work , or you can carry your second 5 days over to next year up thru Jan, 2014 also if you purchase initial license this year after Dec 15th I believe..
 
Page 12 (Nonresident Section) of SD 2012 Hunting & Trapping Handbook states: 2012 licenses are valid Dec 15 2011 thru Jan 31 2013 and 2013 licenses are valid Dec 15 2012 thru Jan 31 2014. After 15 Dec 2012 buy a 2013 license as it gives you more options.:thumbsup:
