Everyone has a different view of hunting. I'd like to hear others plan for fall this year.

Webguy and I are going to start off hitting the ND Duck Opener on end of Sept. Hope to get Webguy his first duck. I hope to shoot some species I've never had a chance to (Bull Sprig).

I'm also looking forward to spending some time in the woods for bow opener in WI. Hope to be able to donate first deer I shoot (doe).

Let's hear it!

Chris

Well, Sept 4th thru 10th is Montana for some Missouri river trout. Then Wyo for Muley for a week. Then Western Mn for Pheasants, Then a week in SD for pheasants, Then Northern Mn for that deer, and finally back to SD for a second 5 days Pheasant hunt. How in world will Ma understand??

Well, I'm off to MT Mid Sept for some upland hunting, in some rough and nasty badlands. And do some scouting for deer and check out some pheasant country for later hunts.
I have the big game combo for MT and deer WY.

I will make 5-6 trips out West from mid Sept till it gets to cold for me.

I also hunt MN when I have time. Mostly on my land in NC MN.m I have world class White Tail and waterfowl, some grouse, turkey, and pheasant.

And that's about it.:D

You've got a wonderful wife or you will need a good attorney...

MNMT, do you hunt gun season in MN? When does your season typically end?

The gun season for deer is 1st Sat in Nov and runs 9 days. Yes I hunt with a gun. I bow hunted for years, but no longer have time. Cuts into my bird hunting.

I gun hunt in WI with my son. Wraps up the weekend after Thanksgiving. We also do a family hunt in Sd around Christmas for pheasants. Used to think that was real late in season but so far so good. I suppose sometime we'll get hammered by a winter storm.

Lets see, goose season opens here tommorow so 3 weekends of honker hunting and probably hit the game farm once for some chuckers and watch the setters work....then duck opens the end of the month so that will be a weekend of sporting clays and drinking:cheers: on Swan Lake, really dislike opener in MN....WAY to many hunters. After that starts two months of 3 day weekends(don't work Fridays) And a trip to Alberta for a quick 3 day hunt and to scope out a new lodge. After school finals wrap up December 6th I hightail it to Texas for two months of guiding Goose/Sandhill/Pheasant hunts, going to suck to have to hunt 50 days straight....LOL Get back to start school again on Jan 29th and get a months rest....then spring snows start up the end of February in Missouri(love that 500 mile drive every Thursday/Sunday night) ending in North Dakota some time in Late May early April. All goes well should log another 100+ day season......got it sucks to be a 30 year old college student.;)

Sorry Chris, no ND for me.....had to pick between that and Alberta, Canada won because of their premium lager.....LOL

Did some dove hunting to humble myself, heading to Zimbabwe to hunt bull elephant, return to start running my lion dogs on hopefully some four legged long tails in early fall snows, try to wear myself and truck out chasing the flying long tails, try to ambush some whitetails with coordintating trips afield with family and friends. Laugh alot at some of the efforts and be proud of my children on their successes.
