Let’s talk hunting

September 1st has come and gone and for us it our 17th year in a great spot that has had its highs and lows but we’ve never come off the mountainside empty handed.
This year was outstanding. We had our limits by 10:15am. Ran into three large coveys. Didn’t have to chase singles.

Bird numbers are really good this year from what we saw on the opener too!

We flushed one on Opener, tried a different spot yesterday and really got into them. Beautiful weekend!

Didn't make it out last weekend. It was WAY TOO HOT, even up high, here.
Maybe this Saturday. Glad to hear everyone got into birds!

You all have done great, I have only found them while archery elk hunting, never when I have been out with my dogs and a gun...

I used to do that but there is too many big game hunters out there. So many get a bit peeved when me and the dog come crashing through. I generally stopped The weekend before 1st season rifle.
