Seems like every year my Brittany developes "hot spots" on her feet and leg at the ankle from crashing through the brush, etc. Probably has 3-4 spots on her front legs and a couple on the rear that a bleeding by the end of the hunt. Once there appear they are there for the remainder of the season, they will scap over but the next time out they are raw again. Today I tried wrapping her lower leg with vet wrap and then covering it with duck tape. Worked reasonable well but between hunting spots she would chew off some of the tape. Guess I'll have to use some dog boots on her and I'm looking at the leg tubes offered by Sylmar Dogwear in Colorado. Sylmar also has some dog boots that are a little higher but not sure they will come up high enough.
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue and what you've done about it.
