LCS Bird Launcher

Anybody that has this bird launcher have any information on it, if not how about the Dogtra or DT, if I buy the large launcher for launching pheasants when my dog is older will there be any issues launching barn pigeons out of it.

LC launcher

I purchased two last March and gave them considerable use through late Oct. Did not have any problems. I felt they were quiet. Mine are the pigeon size. Plan to use them this spring.

I would spend the extra for the Dogtras. They are the best quality. I do know a few trainers that use the DTs and like them, especially how the trap door on them is designed. I would go with the quail size as there really isn't any reason to use a pen pheasant for training, but if you do they won't need to be put in a launcher.

We use pheasants and ducks all the time and Zinger Winger Upland G4 are the best I've ever used. They are super well made and very configurable. They aren't cheap, but they are the best!
We only use pigeons for puppy bird intro, if I trained pointers and used homing pigeons I might be recommend a different launcher.

That's probably a good thing to establish. What are you going to be using it for? If you are doing pointing dog training, the zinger winger is way too big and bulky. If you want to throw bumpers and use it for retrieving training, the Dogtras and DTs aren't going to have enough power to throw them very far.

Just to be clear. I am talking about the uplander G4 made by Zinger Winger. I personally don't care for the traditional Zinger Winger. They are slow to use, cumbersome, bulky, and don't work with live birds.
For throwing bumpers I like Thunder Launchers.

Yeah the Uplander is still a big unit. Too big for planting pigeons or quail for pointing dog training.

I have a pointing lab if such an animal exists, I plan to do a lot of work with pigeons but hope to launch pheasants, and hopefully launch a bumper or two so that the dog gets a different look than me throwing the bumper all the time.

I guess my suggestion would be to go with a couple Dogtra quail sized and then an Uplander. They all can operate off the Dogtra electronics.
