I just got back from a 2 Day weekend hunt on some of our private land around in Spink County, SD, and thought I would give a quick report.
Saturday was pretty crappy out. Snow and blowing snow didn't make for a great hunt, as the birds were sitting very tight. They all seem to be very flighty and scared now. There were only 2 of us and no dog so we did the best we could. Still bagged our limit but took longer than it should have!
Sunday was a nice day, calm and crisp. We ended up walking a small slough and getting 3 birds, and got 2 more from road hunting. Anyone else notice the birds being really flighty this time of year? Still had a good time though!
