Check this out.

This is the only way I could get it to work correctly! Kansas Tourism promoting Hunting preserves and lodges I believe. Not a public land deal as best I could make out.

Kansas is your outstanding destination for private and convenient hunting and lodging.

We have birds! As a matter of fact, we have over one-half million acres of professionally managed prime habitat teeming with tons of thundering-winged pheasants and wily quail awaiting you. And, the Controlled Shooting Area season runs now through March 31, 2014.

Go to HuntKansas.org and make your plans for the hunt of a lifetime.

Don't forget, turkey and deer season are just around the corner - book your hunts now!
Kansas Sport Hunting Association has the Welcome Hunters sign out, and we offer you:

Over 50 professionally managed hunting areas, many offering lodging on site
Longer hunting hours, sun-up to sunset
Larger bag limit
Hunting licenses starting at $17.50

Bleu,

What is it? I can't get the link to work...heck, I can't even get it to work when I type it in.

Please tell me they sent you something saying there are a record # of pheasants somewhere that I have access. You can PM me if you want:rolleyes:

Better now? Tons of birds! I think this is for release birds and preserves.

That's pretty sad. Now there pimping you interlopers to come hunt the pen-raised birds. That is a new low. No mention of the autographed Brownback poster? :D

I think the forecast will be next! They had to get this out first!!:D:D

It is. That means they are sending that to everybody that bought an out of state license. I wonder how many ding dongs will fall for this and book a hunt. My question is why is the KDWP pimping private bird preserves? Ahh I think I got it because it is now tied to tourism. That sucks.

Yes, thank you.

Good golly Ms. Molly, what in the world is this? Nevermind, I see Tom spelled it out for me in a previous post.....it's the "T" in KDWP....T (insert puke emoticon)

Tons of birds? More like tons of BS! I don't have anything intelligent to say. This just ps's me off!

Hi Guys

I am new to the site but have hunted in Kansas the last five years. I received the email today from Kansas Tourism so I don't know where they got my email address. I hope to be welcomed to the site and not offend anyone being a newbie and especially being from VA.
I am going to Wisconsin and hunt and talk to some friends who deer hunt in Kansas before I plan a the trip to Kansas this year. My father had an expression that all of the grandchildren hated " maybe next year", but I think it is fitting for planning a trip to Kansas this year. If I don't make it out this year I hope all of you have a safe and productive year.

birds and more birds

i received one today, just glanced at it, don't think it was a state deal but surely they got my email someplace. looks to me like just more land and birds taken out of what us poor slobs used to hunt, they are talking about a half milliion acres, that's a bunch and yes, it isn't free

cheers

I'm glad you are here and hope you make it to Kansas one day soon. Heck, I got the same E-mail from the tourism folks and almost had to laugh. Gee, that was a good one. I'll bet someone will fall for it. Good luck CPASAM.

email

I think if you look closely, the email was sent out by the guys on this site.

I think ya'll are just trying to make sure us "out of staters" don't kill the only two wild pheasants left in Kansas. What better way than to steer us to private land and leave the WIHA alone :)

By the way.......where are the quail going to be......
