Kansas Pheasant Hunt 2007

Hey i'm new to this forum but i was hoping some of you guys could help me out with the pheasant situation for this year. A few buddies and I are trying to plan a pheasant hunt for this year but as far as bird populations in Kansas I have no idea. I have heard that NE kansas is really bad this year, does anyone know of a good region of kansas for pheasant? We don't have any private land and will just be using public/walk-in hunting. Any information at all would be a huge help.

Go For Mid Kansas, They Had A Mild Winter And A Better Than Normal Hatch. Every Other Region Of Kansas Isn't Looking Too Good This Year Partictularly Western Kansas, Which Had 5 Feet Of Snow For 2-3 Months Killing 33% Of The Bird Population. I Gave Up Hunting Attwood This Year And Now The Middle Of The State Is Well Worth The Drive. If You Want More Information The Kansas Fish And Game Website Will Give You A More Exact Idea Where The Pheasant And Quail Are This Year.
