Just Two Birds but I'm Happy

Got one on Saturday and one on Sunday morning, but I'm happy. All in NW. Enjoyed the exercise, the company, the dogs, and, after the guns were cased for the day, the bourbon!

My son and I were able to manage 5 pheasant and 3 quail in a day and a half. Great dog work and had a blast. Can't wait to get back at em in 3 weeks.

Well BritChaser - if you're happy, then I'm happy!
It's more about birds in the vest (as you quite obviously know by now!). Glad you're having a good time.
Cheers,
-Dave

Sounds good to me. If your ever this way I just scored some Jeffersons groth reserve, some woodford double oaked, and a couple woodford masters collection 1838.:D If I did not have to drive I would have had a smell with Zeb last weekend LOL.

Nice job! We brought bourbon on our first weekend trip this year too, and the evenings were very short. Hard liquor pulls the eyelids right down after a day of following dogs!

Bourbon is most expeditious after a day afield.

Boy oh boy do I want to case guns with you! :D Our quaff for this past weekend was Bulleit bourbon which is pretty good. So far this season I would say the Jim Beam Single Barrel was the best (over Jim Beam Extra Aged and the Bulleit).

Not bad. We had a tasting at the national this year. Orphan barrel lost prophet, Orphan barrel rhetoric, Jeffersons ocean, Jeffersons groth cask reserved, Blantos single barrel, Wild turkey 17 year, Basel Haden's, Woodford reserve distillers select, Knob creek and Buffalo trace. It was a good time. My favorite so far is the Jefferson groth, and Woodford.
