Leaving for a week in ND in a few days and come home from work to a limping dog. Six years and never a limp.......... had to vent:)
 
I feel your pain. I drove 1100 miles, got to hunt one day before the dog had to go to the vet ER. Five days off for her. One last hunt and then home.

Happened to me on Monday. Dog was limping on front leg. No idea what happened. Vet couldn't find anything major wrong. Checked joints, paw and did the tick tests which came back negative. Thinking some sort of soft tissue sprain. Gave him 50mg of Rymadyl twice a day and said rest him for two weeks. He was walking normal yesterday and looks good today.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Supposed to leave Wednesday for South Dakota. Hoping eight days off is enough to heal.
