I moved from Michigan about 10 months ago and really enjoyed rabbit hunting back there. I live in Craig now and was wondering where some state land was that I could hunt and get my self a few rabbits on. I dont know anyone out here that I could ask where any public land is around here so I'm hoping you guys could help me.. and maybe make a friend or two to talk about hunting out here. I also did alot of pheasant hunting back home over my brit but only brought my .22 out.. so only can kill them rabbits now...

For Bunnies, stop in and get a BLM map. BLM is abundant up there, thousands of acres you can hunt. Sage grouse are also up there, check when seasons are in and do some scouting!! I have seen the sage flats come alive and look like water moving there were so many rabitts! Good luck!
 
Yampa River SWA, should be good if ever gets good and cold with a little snow. Half way between Craig and Hayden. Lots of brush piles along fences next to adjacent hay fields. Good Luck.
