Was out driving some back roads and saw a few broods of good size
( 10-12) in each one and I would say 10-12 weeks of age.
But I came across more of them only (4-6) in size with birds probably
only 5-8 weeks in age. I think it is a true reflection of what the cool
spring weather ,including June, did for nesting success etc.
Now we need a mild winter to help those survive. Others I have talked
with have observed the same......a lot of little guys for this time of year.
