I was on the CDOW website and i noticed that it said Hunters, as of January 1, 2010, no longer need a special permit to hunt on Walk-In Access Properties;
Is this because our license expires at the end of march now, didnt find any answers on the website. Do any of you know? I would sure hate to see the walk-ins be just free range anybody access there are still alot of people that dont know about the program or dont want to pay the fee, that being said i also know there are a ton of us that use the program. I've seen some nice properties that have been stomped out, lookin like a party had been held there the night before. One field we packed out more trash then feathers.

I know the Wildlife Commission recently voted to make access to WIA properties included w/ your small game license... apparently it has already gone into effect. We'll see what this does to traffic next season... the goal is to try to recruit more hunters via small game. I somewhere saw it mentioned that other nearby states also don't charge a separate fee.

I wish they would keep the $20 WIA fee and double the land available (even though I only hunt private). Bird hunting rides in the back of the bus in this state, and I'd like to see additional money spent to improve it.
