Not in Sac, but will be at the Phx ISE. Quail Forever Chapter, Valley of the Sun, Booth. I have been busy working to get this booth set for The Feb 21-24show.

Let me know what you think of the Sac show. Have a great time.

I usually go on the Saturday, but can't this year because my wife has a test for work and I've got the 3-year-old. We may try to make a family outing on Sunday.

I'll be there tomorrow. I was hoping to meet a few more UPHers.

I've never been before, how is it dp?

Not going to the show, but call me, we can hook up. 530-304-0513 I live 7-8 miles from where ISE is. You wanna drop by watch the niner game, feel free. Bring your dog, we can take them down to the river for a run.

Varies from one year to the next – looks like there's not a lot of upland stuff this year as far as seminars and whatnot.

IMO, they really screwed up the Sporting Dog Arena schedule this year, but that's supposedly going to be a one-year issue.

I wish I could have taken you up on this but some of my family tagged along, mostly for an excuse to eat at Joes. Next time I'm in the area I will give you a call.

The show was ok, had almost nothing related to upland hunting but I did buy a really cool quail sculpture by an artisted named Dave Allred. He has some very interesting pieces and I may commission him to do a spaniel sculpture for me. Very nice man and he lives in Auburn.

No worries, I knew it was a long shot. Love your posts, and passion. I know you're central valley, what town/city? My wife is from Fresno, I've lived in sac most of my life. The ISE is cool a time or two, but never really changes. I haven't been in 5 years or so. I'd spend more time in the fishing areas back then, but did venture into the gun dog area, always loved bird dogs, even when I didn't own one. One year they had the labs long jumping and at the time my son was 5ish and he loved it. He always liked to watych it on tv, so when I found out they would be there, I took him along. After that event was over, I think we walked threw EVERY RV they had there, good memories. Next time, my friend. Oh yea, Got this idea off here. My family has a Flyfishing house on the South Fork of the Snake River in South East Idaho. Gonna try to trade some land owner a week for a week. I'll even guide him on the river. If I can work something out, outside of my brother, I dont have anyone else I'd ask, so if your able......

I'm just north of Fresno in Madera. It was nice, I spent a lot of time in the fishing stuff as well as my brother and I are avid bass fishermen but the hunting stuff was a bumner. Big game, waterfowl and turkeys aren't really my bag and that seems to be the big draw. I even asked some of the Alaskan outfitters about ptarmigan and grouse hunting and got a few strange looks. I am always up for an adventure, heck a cast and blast on the Snake is a dream hunt of mine.

I hear ya on the hunting part. The Klamath would be my choice for cast and blast. I fish steelhead up there quite a bit and come across quail often. Mostly big game in Idaho, at least that part. Driggs is 45 minutes from the house, and theres a guy from there that posts here regular. He'd have some good info.

Yeah Jsdriggs is my buddy, I'm sure he would give us the scoop. Good mountain grouse in the area I think and probably some chuks in the gorge.
