They claim that the weather was "favorable" to quail reproduction this winter and spring? I find it laughable that they would claim to have any idea at all as to the status of quail anywhere in the state. Any hunter who spent any time scouting this spring or summer could tell you that broods were down drastically from last year. Last year was a bumper year for our quail and that's the only reason this year will decent. The Ca DFG is a joke.
