Another Almost Game Warden Shooting in Pennsylvania
Soon after the recent killing of a Pennsylvania game warden by a poacher, news of another incident involving a poacher firing shots toward PA game wardens who were investigating a possible poaching incident.
According to Associated Press reports, Terrance Edward Weiss Jr. of Madison Township, PA, was charged Saturday with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and hunting violations.
A Game Commission investigator's affidavit says a wildlife conservation officer and a deputy were checking into a report of the use of corn bait near Moscow when someone yelled at them to stop or he would shoot them.
Investigators say three rounds were then shot at or near them, and Weiss later admitted to firing them.
The 39-year-old man is in Lackawanna County Prison with bail set at $100,000. Court officials say he doesn't have a lawyer on record.
