Hey, I don't need spots, but I am trying to get an idea where to go after the pheasant season closes. Just trying to extend my season the best I can. I went by Denison last year and didn't see one and we worked very hard on a great day. Just trying to hone in a more general location. Appreciate the help, and hope your seasons close out in a good way!

If I were looking for one, I would be south of I80. The further south, the better the chances, I would say.

Yeah, I just didnt see any last year and wondered if I was just bad luck or they weren't actually there. Was wondering if people were seeing them this year.

I've seen several coveys in places I didn't see last year. As posts have said South is better, I'm in central but I have heard west is better than east but that's second hand. Check the woody cover near smaller grass plots.

I my corner, there are so few, they don't need me trying to kill them, the winters are pretty good at that already it seems.

We used to do well in sw Iowa back in late 80s and early 90s. We were south of 80 and Anita.
