Hello everyone, I am from south central ohio, I joined UPH to find other areas to bird hunt. For the past 8 years or so I've been traveling to central Iowa to get on some birds. Here the past couple years the birds have been slim to say the least. I was hoping to get more information on other destinations/areas where bird numbers are better. Not so much for myself, more for my GSP pup.

If you can afford the time/travel and cash, go west...South Dakota. As you mentioned, Iowa is devoid of birds as is Mn.

Lots of information that can be gleaned from this site that can facilitate your planning.

welcome to the site! yes as you have noticed iowa is very short on birds. you'll have to go to s.d. to find them. good luck:cheers:
