A couple weeks ago, Cabelas offered the Benelli Ethos for sale at $1899. I hit Cabelas Website at the most fortunate time. It was the only time I saw it advertise 10% off guns and ammo. I was in the market for a new upland shotgun, and I had the good luck of an unexpected 4k. I bought a 20 gauge 26" Ethos. I wanted a 12 gauge 26" Ethos. The sales rep said there were none in stock. After a lot of searching, she found one for me. After the new year, Cabelas increased price by a $100. While only a 5% increase, I expect gun prices to increase due to inflation, increased demand, and materials shortages.

After using many autos and trying many more over the years, I find the Ethos to be the best balanced auto for me. However no auto is as balanced as a SxS or OU. We all have our favorites and many choices. Have fun with your selection.
