Impatient Dog

My dog has been laying down barking jags of frustration and boredom at me. We have been in the pre-season training fields to loosen his strides and fill his lungs. As I close the crate door on his protruding head, his expression seems to say, “Well??” Just five days, boy. Five days.

Hunted the Nebraska opener last weekend and had dandy hunting. The dog was brilliant. The shooter not so brilliant.
