today i picked up my new scattergun. originally i picked up a 12g orion d'italia but was on a delay to pick up the firearm. during that delay period i decided i really wanted a 20g. so i got the last skb weatherby orion in 20g. i shouldered this and the browning citori feather and i went with this. it cost $1200 and with the money i saved ($300) i bought a new 26" barrel for my 870 (back up field gun & turkey gun) and some turkey ammo.

Very good gun, congrats!

You will get many, many good years of service out of that gun. most could never ware it out.

I have a Weatherby Athena myself. Awesome guns

Have one identical to it and while I have not put many rounds through it yet I have been very happy with it. Enjoy!

is there a difference between the "multi choke" and invector chokes? the manual says it uses weatherby's multi choke system while online says it uses invector

My son has the same gun and he uses Invector chokes in his. To make sure order by phone from the company you choose. Tell them your gun and make Invector chokes are the right ones. The screw-in threads are the thing that has to work in all these chokes. Why these MFG. can't get just one thread for all guns is beyond me........Bob

The Multi choke and the Invector are the same choke. I agree with Bob it would make life so much easier if they would have standardized choke tubes from day one. Too late now I am sure.

I bought an exact twin to your gun about 4 years ago. During the first two years I ran over 3000 rounds through the gun at dove, ducks, quail, phez, and claybirds. NEVER a problem and it was tight as ever.

You picked well and it should serve you in a great manner for many, many years.

thanks guys for all the positive responses

if any of you have had any problems or know of any problems with these guns let me know so i know what to look out for.

Might be one SMALL problem.......It'll eat more ammo than you want to buy if you keep feeding it:D Other than that, its all good!!!!
