I can't wait until youth season

This will be my second year to take my son to Kansas for the pheasant youth season. Last year we saw a bunch of birds (pheasant and quail) and he ended up with a rabbit and one pheasant.

I am considering getting him out of school early the day before the season because last year we made it to the hotel after 1am. I was tired.

I hate wishing my life away, but I wish it were upland season.

I know what you mean. I always try to take my kids, but they don't always have the same passion for it that I do. Regardless, this will be my last youth season unless I borrow a youth from someone else.

I think it will be a good year. Hopefully he'll shoot several more! Always love seeing youth get involved in hunting.
